The following steps are going to help you plan your trip so you can spend more time on your trip with a small budget.

  1. Prepare your documents
There are many documents that any traveler would need to prepare, and some others that certain people needs.
Passports if you don't have one you must submit an application and get a passport, and that's needed for anyone traveling into another country.
Visa if you don't have one you should start an application and get one, the visa requirements differ from one country to another, some you won't need visa to go to, other you can get this visa online, and other countries will need a more complicated process to issue you a visa, so it depends on both the country of your citizenship and the one you are visiting.
Driving license: if you don't have a driving license valid to the county you are traveling to then get one, specially if you are planing on renting a car where you are going. Generally, an international driving license is valid all over the world.
  1. Know you budget:
It's important to make a budget before even choosing the place or country you are going to visit.
Setting up a budget as early as possible can help you determine the place, the means of transportations, the type of food, the quality of hotels you will stay in, the length of your stay and even the things that you can do during your trip.
So I can't stress enough on this area, but knowing your budget can change the shape your trip.
